Ok i started the fix on my 87 bronco rear tailgate window. I fixed the crushed torque pins and everything was goin smooth until i pluged the motor back into the wireing harness. The window motor wont run. It doesnt even sound like its getting power. I replaced a couple of fuses and still nothing. I dont know what it could be because i didnt mess with any of the electrical. The motor was running before i did the fix and now nothing. I dont think its the motor itself but might be the wireing harness itself. Could anybody help me please!?!?!

Check the wiring on the driver's side where it enters the tailgate. The bundle often gets pinched , and this is the source of many a Broncos' woes. If that's OK, could be a bad switch at the dash. There's also a safety switch in the tailgate on the driver's side. The window will not work unless the gate is completely and firmly closed. Sometimes, it takes a hard closure to get it going. Just don't break the glass!!! This is prolly your problem if the motor was working before. You can check the motor by attaching a jumper from a 12V battery to the connector going to the motor. There may be a few posts on this here, too.

i had a similar problem with mine. turned out that i had a short in the wireing between the motor and the plug. i just replaced the wiring w/ yellow and red 14g wires, to keep the color coding the same. i also disaled my safety switch on the driver's side latch at the same time.

I had the same problem with the safty switch on the tailgate. Pull the plug and jump the switch (three inchches of wire and two male conertors). If the gate is not totaly closed the window won't work. The only perpose of the safty is so you can't operate the window while the gate is down. If you have power for up but not for down my bet would be on the safty switch.
