I have a 1990 Bronco II. One hot day 2 months ago I went out to get in and out of nowhere the driver side window shattered. I bought a window from a salvage yard and now can't figure out how to get it in. Does the regulator bracket at the bottom of the window have to be removed and re-poprivited or is there some combination on how to get it down into the slot into the tracks with the bracket still attached?

Here is a for what it's worth answer. I am not that familiar with BIIs but if it has a wing window, then it is probably similar to a FSB. On the FSB you need to remove the wing window by removing two screws on the front side door edge and two bolts that hold the front window track which is also attached to the wing window. Then you can maneuver the new window inside the door to slide the track onto the regulator arms.

Hope that helps,

:)>-

No, it does not have a wing window. The problem I have is getting the window down into the slot in the door and into the track(s). It don't want to go in because of the regulator bracket attached to the bottom of the new window. The bracket will not clear the slot and go into the door. I don't think the bracket has to be removed but can't get the window into the door with the bracket on. They took it out at the salvage yard, so it has to go back in. But, how?

Thanx for the response SeaBronc But I have a Bronco II and I believe you are referring to a full size Bronco. I've replaced windows in Chevy's and Dodge's but this is my first Ford. I am not impressed with it. If I can't figure it out I'll trade it in and go back to Chevy, just kidding. If nothing else, I'll take it to the salvage yard where I got the window and have them install it. It's a nice Bronco and I got it cheap, but have had nothing but problems with it. I'm just not a ford man. Am figuring out why now. Thanx anyway. I appreciate your reply and help.

Exactly what I was referring to. Wasn't sure if the BII has a wing window or not. Sorry that was of no help. I'm sure one of the BII owners here has a service manual, but you have to wait till one of them sees this post. The junk yard route may be the way.
