c6 swap to AOD

I want to get rid of my C6 and get a AOD unit as i need to drive my bronco on the freeway often, what do i need to make it happen, which year aod will fit, will a aod from a thunderbird work or does it need to be a 4x4 trans or an adapter maybe? how about the kick down lever, will that work?

the aod doesn't use the vacuum line I believe the c6 does. also it don't have the kick down rod, it uses a cable from the throttle body to the tranny for kickdown and all that. ur gonna need a 4x4 tranny. u might need a new crossmember and a shorter drive shaft cuz I think the aod Is one of the longer trannys. and the tv cable will have to be adjusted just right or ull cook it fast I'm told. come to think of it take the throttle body off the donor truck, u will prob need it. one more thing, any 4x4 aod should work as long as it's not the e4od , then u need the brain and everything
