this one doesn't match...all the wires except red are different... I only have 1 red and the wire (2 for example) next to the red is brown and white not purple and orange... just to be clear I am looking at the harness wire colors not the replacement harness plug generic wire colors

Guess what I found for my 1990 5.8 4wd e40d

An exact match harness from a 1990 5.8 4wd e40d

Except the one plug with 93 part number... all the wires match just the plug differs .. like maybe the what is it a shift sensor? Is a different year ?...

spliced soldered heat shrinked MLSP plug ... fixed - test drive... no limp, no flashing OD... no check engine light.

Thank you everybody for helping - could not have done this alone.

First you find the harness, and that gets you grinning and fist-pumping.
Then it looks wrong, and you're like... dood.
Then you get in touch with the inside man--and he is da MAN--and you make that harness bend to your will, and...AND...
IT FREAKIN' WORKS!!!

Ain't that just the best feeling of masculine mastery there is? It's like, toss the Cialis baby, we'll not be needing it for the next week or two!
