Appreciate the response did as you said also went as far as replacing the solenoid and no he’ll still not even turning over just cuts the powerHey Ccarder,
Sounds really simple, but check your battery cables. Make sure theres no corrosion between the posts snd the clamps.
If thats good, check where the pos cable connects to the solenoid in the fenderwell.
Good luck
Cheers
Hey there CcarderI don’t know if the headlights cut out I’m kinda in the process of putting it back together so it doesn’t have a grill headlights or anything. I do know the lights on the dash and the radio loses power when I try to start it also.
I didn’t break it down that far. It was running perfectly fine other than the fuel pump leaking replaced the fuel pump then after that, it wouldn’t start. I’m assuming I bumped something over on that side. Only other thing I’ve done is pull the windshield off cause it was cracked.Hey there Ccarder
If its in the process of being assembled, you might not have a body ground connected. (Between the block and body.)
I would follow Tiha's suggestion. Connect a booster cable between the engine ground (pick something not painted, like the alternator housing) and the truck body. (The ground strap usually runs between the back of the intake and the firewall.) See if it will start then.
Good luck
Cheers!
