OK I HAVENT SEEN THIS ON ANY OF THE OTHER FORUMS I HAVE AN 89 BRONCO AND I KNOW I HAVE HAVE A BAD SWITCH ON THE KEY LOCK HOW DO I BY-PASS THAT SWITCH . CAN ANYONE HELP

How do you know the switch is bad? What is the symptom? There are two fuses involved, one for the driver switch and one for the tail gate key switch. See the attached diagram. I assume that the window works from the driver switch. For the tail gate switch to operate you must have 12V on the black with white stripe wire. I would suggest a little more troubleshooting before bypassing the switch. As you will note from the diagram, the switch has to be pretty much in tact for the driver switch to work. Diagram attached.

I belive it is the purple wire with the green line that goes to the window safety switch. I jumped it to the motor and got mine to work with the front switch only.

if the key switch is bad, will it keep the dash switch from lowerin or raisin the rear window??? havin this problem on my 95 bronco

also, i have power on the wire to go up but none down.. but wont go up or down unless jumped..
