Okay heres the deal. THe dude i bought the bronco from gave me a replacement motor for the back window. So after about ten hours i finally get the new one in. crap. the switches dont work i tried the one on the dash and the key on the tailgate so i replace the fuse and run a hotwire from my fuse to the motor the window comes down about a inch and goes back up. what should i do to get the original switches to work and get the window to go all the way down. also i saw the tracks to the motor are rusted.

Open the tail gate, and close the latches. It will click once when it's partially locked, then click twice when it's fully locked making a complete round circle with about less than a mm of space between the upper and lower hook. Lock both sides so you get the above results and test the tail gate key switch and see what happens. If it works, fix your bushings. Electrical tape and aluminum are an excellent cheap fix, however the bushings themselves are easy to replace if you have the TORX bit.

Relax guys! he is new to the forum .

First off Welcome to the Zone > .

It is not always easy for a new member, or old ones for that matter, to find things here so here is how to add information to your Signature. Click on your user name, then at the top of the page find "My Controls" and click on it, On the left side find "Edit Signature" and click on it, then enter your truck's vital statistics. From then on it will show up at the bottom of your posts. That way when you have a question it is easier for someone to give an educated guess about what may be the problem.
