F2 CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT AT RH SWITCH
Power Door Locks, F-Series and Bronco, Except Crew Cab
- Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to Circuit 57 (BK) at Pin 1 and Pin 5 on left door lock switch connector.
- Measure resistance of each circuit.
Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
Yes
No
REFER to
Door Lock Switch under Component Tests in the Diagnosis and Testing portion of this section. SERVICE as required.
SERVICE Circuit 57 (BK) for open circuit. RETEST system.

Window Regulators
The door window regulators should be properly lubricated to provide ease of operation. The window glass mechanism should be lubricated whenever the glass channel or window regulator is removed, or excessive effort is required to operate the windows. To lubricate a door window mechanism, apply an even coating of Multi-Purpose Grease D7AZ-19584-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M1C159-A and ESB-M1C106-B to the window regulator rollers, shafts and the entire length of the roller guides as illustrated by the shaded areas.

The affected vehicles were previously repaired using a wiring harness that is not compatible with the vehicle circuit polarity. As a result, the fuse is located in the output circuit rather than in the intended input power feed circuit, and may not offer the intended protection in the event of an electrical short to ground.
This could result in an underhood fire. Dealers will install a new wiring harness, or replace the mating electrical component. east302 provided following for his 93 "I found the recall information on alldata...didn't know it was even there so that's a plus. Mine has the updated harness with two fuses instead of one, so it looks like the recall was addressed correctly."
