Window frame cracked at the door

Pretty common I'm guessing?  Every time I shut the door, it flexs a little bit....eventually it split.  Any thoughts or advice??   I'm thinking I may try to weld it back, without doing much/any damage to the paint.  ??

YEP.., pull straight, wire wheel paint away, weld & paint.......
