Going for a factory look..

I have an 89. Will this bumper fit? It's off an Eddie Bauer and I guess they also put em on F2/350 trucks as well..

His truck is a 92-96 trim..but the bumpers should match up with earlier years, right??

May take some mod on the brackets but it should not be too difficult to do.

Adam, The frame shape is very different. The 92-96 has that crumple zone we have talked about and the front of the 89 I think is an open C channel. IIRC the direction of the mounting brackets is also different. 92+ is the vertical bracket on the inside of the frame horn about 3" back.



If you want I have one sitting in the back yard if you want to look at one without pressure to buy. Mine may get put back on sometime.

See I was thinking (looking back at that one thread) with the crumple zone in place, the mounting may be slightly different. The bumpers from photos I've seen look nearly identical, except the Eddie Bauer bumper has the air vents which can be modified to fit some fog lights in there.

So I knew it probably wouldn't be as easy a simple bolt up, but if the bumper is the same shape, it should have somewhat same conecpt of mounting. Maybe the bracket system can be taken off mine and put in place on the 'new' bumper?
