ok, so my bronco has been parked for about 2 years, and I was hoping you guys could help me get a list together of the things I need to change or check. It is running pretty good right now but there is a little skip, I think I just need new spark plugs though. I just want to get together a list of what I need to do, to get it back to top condition. thanks for the help.

first thing to do is tune it up and install new fuel filters, get rid of old fuel, check all the fluids, charge the battery, might want to buy new terminals while youre at it, and change the oil. you also want to grease all the fittings on tie rods and driveshafts. I'm sure that i'm forgetting something so someone can let you know what else to do.

I guess I should put a list of what I've already done so you guys will know.

I have changed the oil

charged up the battery

new battery cables and solenoid

topped of all fluids

tank of gas and fuel injector cleaner

and I plan on changing the plugs and wires when my funding gets back up

I didn't know if I should change the fuel filter because I had changed it not long before I parked it, but like you say I probably should.

and I know this may sound like a dumb question...but I have never greased everything myself...usually that only got done if I took it in for an oil change...which I only did maybe one time.

so here is my probably dumb question...Can I use the same grease we use on our tractors to grease everything up? I'm not a mechanic by no means so all help is appreciated...

thanks,

Mitch

cool thanks for the help, I'll have to see what kind we have.

The more I drive the more the skipping seems to go away, except when I went up a big hill earlier and it started knocking and skipping pretty bad

it sounded like spark knock so I'm probably gonna check the plugs when I get home.

Anyone else know anything else I can check or replace to get her back in top condition...?

thanks,

Mitch

you may want to flush radiator and change coolant, or install new air filter
