trans swap

hey guys so has anyone ever swaped an e40od for a 5 speed (4 speed w/od) if so can u tell me what all it needs for that to be done. i know i need the clutch pedal trans its self um might need transfer case not sure so that would help to lol but what i dont know pretty much is, the wire harness on the driver side of the trans right infront of the shift linkage, what do i do with that, do i cut the wires and nut them or would that turn on my check engine light, i really appreciate the answers thanks.

thanks for that site but can i ask if u had to change the driveshaft and the rear end and the front end? and also can i use the transfer case that i have now its a push button u know the automatic transfer case i have that so can i use that or would i have to get the manual?

not sure on the transfer case issue and as far as drive shafts go i re-used the f250 front driveshaft on the bronco, but for the rear i had to redo the whole driveshaft

didn't swap out anything as far as the diffs go, but if you can find a donor truck you'll be alot more ahead of the game. especially when it comes to the floor pan
