Looking for a bit of advice. when i bought my 90 about a year ago, i replaced the plastic gear in the motor so it would work. then, while the window was down in the school shop, the torsion bar had smashed the window from it being so rusted. I then had to buy a new tailgate all together. The turnkey switch works and the wiring is brand new. However, the dash switch doesnt work and i really dont think its the switch itself... i really would like for it to work.

Any suggestions?

I got a crazy one for you. I can't put the window down from the dash switch (A.K.A. Master Tailgate Switch) and can't put it up from the tailgate. It will eventually go up from the dash switch but it takes a lot of patience. Got any ideas?

I just took off the access panel on the tailgate... uh, how do I get the window out of the way to work on the motors? sorry for the stupid question.

Scott,

Have you gone & read the post from Miesk5 that I included as a link in my first response to this ? That post suggests doing exactly what you need to do to move your window without the switch. Run jumpers directly to the motor bypassing the switches. The correct wire color/sequences are in Miesk5's post.

I read that and now that I think about it, I remember that the window was in front of the window motor... or am I looking at the wrong thing? I am new to all this

you are looking at it right the window has to be up about half way so that you can work your arm in to where the motor itself is at but you can get to the wireing with it all the way down
