Tailgate Window Fits

So...can anyone tell me WHY it is impossible to find the primary control tailgate latch (drivers side) for my 85 Bronco XLT? I have found the RIGHT side and a myriad of other parts for every other year, but not for my 85. Since this latch is the primary control and includes the electrical 'allow' switch for the gate, I would expect it to be in far greater demand. I would appreciate any assistance with this item. Now...about me. Yes, I am new to this forum. I live in beautiful southern California and I have owned my Bronco since 1987 and I just love it. I always kept it pristine, but after giving it to my 3 boys as they were growing up, the car is now practically destroyed. It needs lots of care and attention, but I have decided to restore it to the way it was when I bought it with a few thousand miles on it. Item ONE....get the tailgate to open...which involves replacing the window motor and the left locking latch, which has failed. Thanks to all in advance for any help....Patt

The driver side latch from any Bronco 83 - 96 will fit that tail gate. The switch is a seperate item. I believe I have both of them in my garage. If you want them and I actually do have them, we cold negotiate a price. You should also be able to find them at a local friendly auto parts recycler /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> .
