t-case cracked

i need help bad. i dont have alot of money and my t-case is cracked. dont ask please. it already been one of those days. what do you suggest i do. besides the obvious and get a new one. where can i find t-cases for a reasonable price. the difficulty level to do it my self, or should i just take it in? i they have a auto hobby shop on base with certified mechs and all the tools to do just about anything, too. cant this marine get a break. advise greatly need from the bronco gods. :((

Best bet is to call around to some junkyards. It could be welded but i dont know how well that would work out and if its an aluminum itll have to be tig welded. Good luck.

tompa00, your 93 Bronco should have the Borg-Warner 13-56 t-case, which has a magnesium housing instead of aluminum. You can find a complete, used case for about $300-$400 at a salvage yard, or just buy the half of the housing that's cracked for under $100. A new t-case is about $800 as a comparison. Check the classified ads forums here and at other Bronco sites for folks parting one of the 88-96 Broncos. I recently sold the one from my 88, but you may find one or two for sale here. It's easy to remove and install the whole t-case, but tearing one apart to swap the guts is more involved. Hope that helps, JSM84

so me and a buddy could just swap out the cracked one for a new one no problem then? and other than ebay, what other sites could i go to to find t-cases? thanks. i'll try to out pics of the damage up.

i found out its not the t-case. its the adapter that bolt on in between the transmission and the t-case. its been a pain trying to find one. any suggestions? thanks

LIke I said before I can repair it for you cheaply . Other than that you have to know what tranny you have to get that adapter there not all the same . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
