I have a 84 Bronco that seems to have a "loose steering" I have had a rebuilt steering box installed but it did not make alot of difference. my 96 Bronco has tight steering along with other 90's Broncos I have owned. Did I get a bad rebuild? Can anybody recomend a particular brand of rebuild. will a 90's Bronco steering box fit in my 84? @-)

Well, I have an 83 and the steering is tight. Are you sure the problem was the steering box in the first place. A lot of other stuff can cause such problems, like ball joints, tie rods, steering linkage, etc. Mine use to have what is sometimes called slot car steering, because it would take sudden swervs when the tire hit a crack running in the same direction as I was traveling. That was especially exciting at highway speed. The problem with mine was badly worn ball joints.

Good luck,

:)>-
