did a motor swap reciently and ground cable to new truck was red. anyway I put a new batt in and hooked it up wrong tried to start my truck and it turned over but wouldn't start so i checked power to the coil and it was hot but pulled a plug and tried to ground it to the block (wich was hot) and jumped the solinoid no spark ..I was confused then i realized that the bat was backwards and fixed that and the melted wire that is also hooked to the solinoid at the batt end of it(the big one that goes to the alt.) and now i have no power to the dash cannot turn the starter by key no power to the coil..i checked the fuse box no burns.. I also replaced the alum box over the drivers wheel well would anybody no where to check next?

it happens that's why Ford places a fusible link between the starter relay and alternator

what years do you have? I may lose the www conn now due to rain so look in my site under Electricl, Wiring Diagrams and pick out those that apply to your year at http://www.broncolinks.com/index.php?index=143
