Rear Window Motor

Do you guys have problems with these things occasionally? Everytime i get one it seems like as soon as it rains the motor goes out. I have voltage back there, but the motors keep burning up or shorting out, or soemthing. Stuffs expensive...

Advice please.

Is the tailgate seal in good shape ? LMC truck & other places have replacements. Here's a good write-up for diagnostics:

Are you sure it is the motor and not an intermittent wiring problem? Have you tried a direct battery jump to the motor to make sure it is really bad?
