hi everyone new user, but been reading forum quite a bit.

just completed a 6" lift on my 96 and ive noticed that it has a clunk/jump when i engage to reverse or drive.only moves an inch or so but im sure it shouldnt and need advice.

all bolts are tight and torqued.

right now it only has 31s,though i have 35s for it i still have to get the wheels to mount them on.

also i do plan on putting a new ring and pinion in front and rear.stock now and from ive seen i believe a 4.56 will restore my power, correct?

pics to come soon

thanx in advance for ur help

if you've got the cash, i'd spend it on tightening up the read differential maybe new gears clutches and bearings. and also new u-joints on the drive shaft. but keep in mind. these old trucks are nearly impossible to get rid of the going into gear movement. just the nature of these older vehicles.
