Please Help me get my beloved Bronco get back to factory standards, because the previous owner didnt take care of her! :barf:cry:

--------------------------------------------------------

First off I see 2 empty holes in the throttle body, does any lines suppose to go here? And that empty bracket with the rust ring in the middle does the ground to something?

GEDC0001.jpg

Next there is a little black clip type thing under my sterring colunm, where would this hook up to?

GEDC0009.jpg

3rd, in the pass kick panel,we have a whole heap of wiring hack jobs. Notice the 4 pink crimp connectors at the bottom. Well those wires run under the dash in the middle connected to 2 relays(shown in pic 2). Does anybody what the PO was trying to do? If you need wire colors let me know.

GEDC0002.jpg

GEDC0010.jpg

Last we have a broken pink or peach color vacuum line under the hood. My diagram says it goes to the Air BPV from the SOL V(TAB).The PO had it hooked up to the EGR valve...:barf: Is the Air BPV the pump in the pass fender area the blows air out or the belt driven pump? If it does go the the belt driven smog pump, does anybody have pic of the location?

yo!

Those holes don't have anythAng attached to em in my 96 nor in this pic in DCSkater's 92

Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Diagram, 5.8L

Source: by Steve83 The Air Bypass (AIRB) is shown in da diagram this is in a 5.8

What engine do you have? I always seem to reply before asking what eng/tranny, etc.

See the PINK Vac line here? Filter, Waste & Intake Hose Location & pics in a 93 5.8

Source: by Steve83

Is that a RED hose? red always indicates straight manifold vacuum' so trace it back

if it IS PINK then Pink = Air Bypass (AIRB)

a White Vac Line is a EGR vacuum (source)

ok, post what engine you have and the Calibration Code posted on a label on driver's side B pillar

That wiring hack job as you put it is trailer lights. Those holes in the throttle body, my '90 302 had lines there that hooked to my coolant lines. Like a throttle body preheater. Its been a few years since I saw my old '90 but from memory that looks to be the same spot. Excellent job on the pictures, they truly help alot

I might add, I have no idea how those lines would hook to those holes. I never had it apart. I only noticed them there because they were on my one bronco but not the other.

The one under the steering column looks like the one that hooks to the ignition, for the buzzer when you leave the keys in the ignition.

"...First off I see 2 empty holes in the throttle body..."

Checked again for you...my 96 5.0 doesn't have anythAng attached there - 2 similar "recessed & blocked holes" - and TB coolant line is higher on TB in later years; at least 92-96

and in case you need the Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) for 88 and up, PUK (49 States) Decal, PGP (Canada) Decal's vac line to component abbreviations & general locations as viewd by Standing in FRONT of engine and looking at engine bay: as cited on da decal...

As shown by Ric in his 92 5.8

Vacuum Reservoir (VRESER) - stores excess vacuum to prevent rapid fluctuations and sudden drops in a vacuum signal, such as during acceleration...mainly for EGR, TAB/TAD, etc. (coffee can passenger side of engine bay, near jack)

ACV.... AIR Control Valve - front of engine.. see Steve's diagram for both 5.0 & 5&8

EVR .... EGR vacuum regulator (on the passenger side of engine bay)

CPRV.... Canister Purge Regulator Valve - The canister purge solenoid dangles in its vacuum line between the R side of the engine and the canister on the R frame rail (By Steve)

VMV ... vapor management valve (VMV) functions in a manner similar to that of the evaporative emission canister purge valve

So what I circled in red Is the AIR BPV where the pink line needs to be hooked up to? And It should plug in at the bottom where I circled in blue?

secondaryair58l.jpg

Maybe im blind but Is this the pink line?

wm58l-right.jpg

Also I have a 92, 5.8W. How many digits is the calibration code suppose to be?

I couldnt really find a spot for it to go.Would I have to remove the ignition cylinder?

Would you have a idea of why the PO would hook them up to relays? Would I be able to find the wires he cut and put them back to normal?

PINK should go as you cited originally - SOL V (TAB) to Air Bypass Valve (AIR BPV) as shown on the Decal) - AIR BPV should have only one vac port...

Pink = Thermactor Air Bypass Valve (AIR BPV) as shown on the Decal)

Should look just like this..wait a few secs for info to load..scroll down and click image iconSee my Bronco site for TAB, etc. info

Calibration Code posted on a label on driver's side B pillar; take a look at it...not needed if you have that Vac Line Decal on radiator support

for; Maybe im blind but Is this the pink line?

I Can's see it that well either;; can you trace it back to see if it DOES GO to the SOL V (TAB)?

Yes you would have to remove the cylinder. And as for the wires, I'm not sure what wires he butchered for the trailer wires. I just recognize the trailer wiring harness. The Brown, green, yellow and white wires are the ones I am refering to. I have never seen it done this way so I am not sure what he had to do to wire it this way. It is possible that he used a trailer wiring harness for something else soI would check it out before saying thats what it is for sure.

Are the harness' in the pass kick panel for the tail/trailer light? Because I hope he didnt use a spare trailer light harness wires to rig something else up... -_- /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
