It's offically summer time, as yesterday was the first day the weather was nice enough for ******* driving.
Now, for the question...
I noticed my brakes were getting mushy. Then yesterday day the pedal went right to the floor, but I could give them a pump or two, and they'd be fine. But when I was at the stop light, the pedel started sinking to the the floor. When I got home, I pulled the cover off and checked the fluid. They were both full, but front resevoir (front brakes?), looked dirty. I let it idle, and used a broom handle to push the brake pedal, and I could see a little splurt of fluid jump up out of the front resevoir. No bubbles, so I don't think it's air in the lines. I'm wondering if it's a worn seal in the master brake cylinder, and letting brake fluid flow past the piston?
