From looking on ebay and other websites where broncos are for sale it seems to be a common problem of window problemsand Broncos. I own a 86 Full size Bronco w/ Power windows and my passenger side window needs assistance going up. The window motor does work (I think) but the window continues to slide down. When I am pulling the window up it goes up and the window motor is helping but as I drive it slowly starts back down. What is up with that? Anybody have any clues let me know.

The window motor has a plastic gear in it autozone sell the kit $19.00 i think its 3 or 4 screws its a simply fix and cheaper than buying a new window motor.Make sure the kit has the small tube of grease to put on the gear and it will work good as new.

They are correct. I'm going through that right now with my 79's rear window. I got the motor out and the wheel gear spun, but the plastic casing that the metal gear was housed in was stripped, sound exactly like the kit they're talking about. However, I've found in many places motors for $30. I personally feel like spending the extra ten to get new everything.. Just another option for ya!
