Catching air? I dont quite get it... Just kidding, I have some stories about a certain Volvo 242 that landed so hard that the timing belt slipped as well as busting the headlights out WITHOUT them hitting anything.... And i concur that brakes dont work in air, I tried that one myself... Oh the memories.

Hey 2ndtour89, that's a really fine looking Bronco, thanks for posting the pic!!! And I'll date myself as well, being the S&H fan that I am. A friend in highschool bought one used around 79/80. Even had the S &H label on the title. We got it airborn one night doing 95 over a hill, and must have jumped 30-40 feet before landing. No harm done to the car, at least. Did learn something from that experience: brakes do not work in mid-air!!! JSM84
Wow, an S&H TITLED car ? What would that be worth today ? Couldn't have been very many of those made. The brakes work just fine in mid-air, they stop the tires from spinning just like they were designed to do. The problems with *that* don't start until you land with the brakes locked down hard. Have you seen my avatar ? Here, let me post it full size. If you ever debated the value of a rollcage in a EB then save these pics. This is probably one of the ONLY times that you'll hear & actually SEE evidence that not wearing a seatbelt & being ejected from a flipping vehicle can save your life. On the other hand, having an ER doc remove twigs & pebbles from your nostrils with a pair of forceps while they try to re-inflate your lung is no picinic either. In this particular case the truck landed right on the drives corner of the roof & if I'd still been in it when it landed I wouldn't be typing this post today. And to think my Old Man thought that broken door latch was dangerous. Freaking thing saved my a$$.

God was working on that day man... By the way, do you smell better now that the twigs and pebbles were removed???

Aw ****, he was working *overtime* that day. If you've never used your face to make a 6ft furrow in the median strip let me save you the trouble & simply say that it's not anything I'm in a hurry to do twice. When you see one of those big yellow signs thats says "Bump Ahead" know that somebody put it there for a reason. Being a "stuntman" is generally considered a career because, really, it's not for amateurs. Learning that you shouldn't step on the brake & lock your tires while the vehicle is airborne is one of those lessons that you only have to learn once, because trust me, you never forget.
