My name is Darrin (Shadow-D) and I've been a member here for well over 20 years and was a Mod back in the early-mid 2000's.
I was very active when I had my Bronco but once I sold her I stepped away from here. I just bought another Ford but this time it's a 1984 F-150. These trucks have quit a few similarities and I will help out when I can but please keep in mind that I have forgotten a lot about these trucks over the years so I will be also relearning as I go.
When I bought this truck it also came with a parts truck, 1986 F-150 and the picture below shows both of them. The tan one is the 86 & the red one is the 84.

Nice pickup. That is my favorite body style. Loved the dash layout over all the other years.

Love the bull nose

I started out my Ford Love affair .... in 1994. I bought a 1983 F150 ( 300 six .... dual gas tanks ... powder blue)

Then in 1996 I got a 1986 F150 ( Hunter green ... flare side ... 300 six)

I wish I would have held on to them.

Thanks guys...
I've been workin my but off on the 84 (A.K.A. Ol' Red) and plan to have her up and running next Friday however that goal might need to be pushed as needed parts are taking longer to arrive than I first anticipated. A lot of parts got delayed do to the holiday and won't get here til Tuesday. There is 1 part that isn't available aftermarket that I need to either find, repair or reconstruct. That part it the rear tank strap mount on the side tank. It's the angled brace that connects the bottom of the frame to the crossmember. I don't know if these are the same or similar on the Bronco but I'll throw up a couple of pictures for reference. Yes I know the fuel tank has a small hole or two that might be visible in the pictures. I think I can fix it with a little bubblegum and duct tape, if not the tank on the parts truck is almost new but the brace I need is also shot on that truck as well...

I did some backpacking last October in the Adirondacks. We were driving through some little town up there .... and I saw a bullnose with a plow mounted to the front. She was definitely abused and rotting away.

I felt sorry for the old girl ..... but she lived her best life in the snow covered North country.
