Sweet lookin' Bronc! Have a '92 that I plan to put 2" of lift and 34's underneath. Your rig has given me the best idea of what mine is gonna look like fitment wise, thanks. BTW, about your tag line, is it possible to spend to much time or money of such a worthy rig? :-"

Thanks for the welcome and my Bronco is affectionatley called the "Hundred Thousand Dollar Bronco" by the guys that work for me... I have fun in it but if you ask my wife, the answer is yes, there is such a thing as too much money spent....

I have posted a few times but never posted a picture of my project. Well, here it is...
Looks nice now that it's finished. Oh, did I say finished ? What I *meant* was that now you can move on to then NEXT item on the list. Freaking things are never *finished*.

Now you just need some 22" spinners with a 5" exhaust and some Noss & you be Da Man dog.

You know it... I am getting ready to order the "Altezza" taillights and the coffee can exhaust tip to go with the ******-balls that just showed up and the 8 ft tall spoiler that I had special made for me...

By the way, finished is not in my vocabulary. My house will never be finished, my 61 Falcon will never be finished, my Bronco has the same doomed fate...

Coolness. You're *never* finished but I guess that's the fun of it all.

But really man, bull$hit aside. Keep that blue fuzzy fur OFF the dash. When the exposed radio wires you have lying around spark (because you were too cheap to buy & use electrical tape because hey, that's what duct tape is for right ?) and they ignite the fur, those damn dice will actually catch fire and believe it or not they actually DRIP flaming residue onto the damn carpet and drops of flaming polyester go flying everywhere as you're batting away at it all & trying to put it out while tooling down the road. I'm hiding my head in shame but trust me, I know about this. I can't to this day tell you just *why* I thought that blue fuzzy fur was so cool but honestly, nobody told me it was that flamable. I actually have pictures somewhere of that burned out Ranchero interior (as if the bolted-on L88 hood scoop wasn't a big enuf clue) but I'm just too embarassed to scan them even if I COULD find them (and really, I'm not looking too hard). And those FREAKING ****** balls are a damn fire-trap, stay away from them.

The $hit you do when you're 16. Man you just hate to admit it.

I totally hear you. My Ranchero caught fire once or twice as well and if memory suits me, one time had something to do with duct tape on a fuel line that had a crack in it. Yeah, dumb, but what was worse was the fact that after I got the fire out I actually put more duct tape on it to "fix" the leak so I could get home. Like you said, when you are sixteen, the stuff you do...... The Ranch made it and is still sitting in my driveway some 18 years later, sans duct tape that is....

Oh yeah, you just HAVE to love those Rancheros. That little straight 6-200 always turned me off to the Falcon Rancheros even though I had a good friend with a bada$$ early Falcon coupe we swapped a GT 5.0 into. I was always partial to Torinos (now I'm exposed as a Starsky & Hutch fan) so when I found a solid 74' with a blown Cleveland I knew I'd found a home for the 429 my father had been tripping over & cussing at for a year. In hindsight though, that L88 was probably unnecessary, but it seemed like a good idea at the time, and of course being the 80's you just HAD to have a bandana tied around your side mirror and one of those (ahem) "feathered clips" hanging from the rear-view.

The motor that is in my Ranch is from a 70 Torino. Now I wish I had purchased the whole car instead of just the 302 and yes I am a Starsky and Hutch fan as well. If I ever find one in decent shape around here I am going to buy it.. "Feathered clip" I dont understand, never saw any of these, oh wait, maybe chicks used them as hair clips, right??? My Ranch (1961) now sports the built 302 and a C4 but it did come with the meager 170 inline 6 when I bought it back in the day but back in the late 80's I swapped in the 302.

My wife just shakes her head & calls me a Child of the 80's but man do I love those Torinos. You're not alone in wishing you had one to build (who BUYS a car like that ? All the fun is in building it). I've always liked those slotted rims too, I'd like to find a nice set in aluminum for the Bronco and a matching set for a Torino (chrome is for pimps)

The real beauty of those Falcons was that they were so light to begin with and then they went & cut off half the top & tubbed out the rear for the Ranchero and they just didn't weigh *anything*. I used to love mine for smoke shows, didn't even *need* to rig the washer-pump to spray the tires because the rearend just doesn't have ANY weight over it at all. When I sold it & built my 77' Monte I had to run the spray to light 'em up

Ahhh, no they weren't hair clips. Maybe if I describe it better I can get away with not having to use the proper name. They were aligator clips that usually had a couple 10" pieces of leather like bootstrings attached and they'd put a half-dozen or so colored feathers on the end. Blue, red, yellow, that sort of thing. You'd clip it to the rearview to keep it handy.

LOL, I was only kidding on not knowing what kind of clips they were... I was trying to pretend that I didnt know.... Too funny.. Anyways, I would love to build a torino just like the "Red-Tomato" if you remember that is what the captain used to call it on the show... Now I am dating myself... I would even go as far as the stripe and even get a gumball machine for the roof (for only entertaining my kid in my driveway of course). Did you see the write up in Hotrod when they talked about them building 50+ Torinos for the movie but only a handful actually had a build 351W in them to get the smoke shows and speed runs out of? Supposedly the rest were for crashing... I hated reading that but they said that there were quite a few left over after the filming that would go on the auction block at some point... Anyways, I better go see what is going on away from my desk, the "roaches" are getting kinda lively out there....

Yeah man, you gotta CLIP those buggers down or you'll lose track of them. :)

And now of course I have kids of my own, what the **** kind of punishment is THAT ???

Here's one with a gumballl for ya.

The things they do for movies, how many perfectly buildable classic cars get destroyed annually for our nations entertainment ? The wrecked Torino was used for shooting several scenes and when they finished the top was just chopped off because that was the easiest way to remove the cameras they'd placed inside (jeez, talk about taking the easy way out!!!) and the other one is just a body they hacked off a chassis that was placed on top of a stripped van frame so they could get certain shots with some poor bastard crouched underneath driving the damn thing behind a camera truck.

I'm really a Ford guy at heart but in my early 20's I flirted with the Mopar crowd and built a 68' Charger, because of course I just had to find out HOW many tickets it took to *actually* lose your license. I really felt bad when I watched the bonus disk for Dukes of Hazzard (remember guys, Child of the 80's, and hey, who *didn't* sport wood for Catherine Bach ?) and they said that they had completely wrecked something like 30 (THIRTY !!!!!) 68' Chargers when they shot the movie. Oh the Humanity !!!!!! On the other hand, if you've never seen the bonus stuff there's a GREAT track titled "How to jump a Charger 168 feet" that's worth buying the disks for all by itself.

Google is a wonderful thing and I have to agree, the blue is better. I know about the kid thing, I only have one but the same thing goes, its payback for the way we acted when we were younger.. My parents always told me that but I didnt believe them until now.. I have always been a blue oval guy myself but I have had a couple of Toyotas, a couple of Nissans, a couple of Jeeps and even ONE bowtie (72 K5 Blazer) but the remainder of my rides were all Fords.. The only time I dont see Catherine in the same light is when they did the Dukes Reunion, she's lookin a little older but she is still Daisy to me.... I cant believe I just wrote that..... Yeah, the Charger would be cool too, I kinda got the Mopar bug when I was working for Chrysler but never acted on any impulses. I would love to find out where the junk yard is that the entertainment industry uses when they discard these types of cars... I would probably get more wood than seeing Daisy....

Hey 2ndtour89, that's a really fine looking Bronco, thanks for posting the pic!!! And I'll date myself as well, being the S&H fan that I am. A friend in highschool bought one used around 79/80. Even had the S &H label on the title. We got it airborn one night doing 95 over a hill, and must have jumped 30-40 feet before landing. No harm done to the car, at least. Did learn something from that experience: brakes do not work in mid-air!!! JSM84
