Hey guys finally pick up a 1986 Bronco, first one very excited to get into it. Had some questions about compatibility on 3 gen parts.  Super excited about the truck 3 inch body lift, got a 302 V8 in it and 33" tires eddie bauer edition.  Was able to find replacement locks (it was a salvage had to replace all lock all the way around). windshield is cracked, 4x4 needs to be rebuilt.  There are a lot of 1982 and 1980 in the area on craigslist, besides the engine 1986 has fuel injection, what is interchangeable on the early year 3rd gen to the 86? oh and I wanted to get a new heavy duty spare tire rack because I'm worried about the weight of the 33" hanging off the back of the factory rack.

what is interchangeable on the early year 3rd gen to the 86?
Most all parts are interchangeable 80-96 with the exception of the dash and front clip.  Some people have even used the front clip from 87 - 96, it just takes a little work.  In fact any part can be interchanged depending on how much work you are willing to put into it and understand what has to be modified or taken along with the part.

Good luck,

:)>-
