Hey, I was looking around the interwebs and I found this site, and I cant believe I never saw it before. I have a 89 eb full size bronco with a 302 that is my daily driver/ offroad truck(I know its silly, but im 22 years old and not very wealthy) and I have a 88 xlt custom(?) full size with a 302 for parts. the 88 was my first vehicle. It was my grandfathers. He bought it from Ford and used it for hunting and such, but then he passed away when I was only 6, but left me the bronco in his will. since I was only a young kid my dad took it to keep till i was old enough, and he was a DIY guy, soI laerned by helping him out and fell in love with the truck before I could even drive it. Then I made a silly mistake that cost me the usability of the truck so I had two choices, get a car, or find another bronco. so I did the smart thing while gas was over 3$ a gallon. I got another bronco.

Anyway, now that I told a large bit of history of me no one asked for, I guess I can end it with a Hey all you guys.

I dont have any photos of my 89, but I got some nice whoops ones of me with the 88

Enjoy:

Welcome again. What made it unusable. It doesn't look that bad to me. By the way, as long as your photos are around 1028 or less you can upload them without causing much of a problem for other members trying to display them. The software automatically creates the thumbnails.

Good luck,

:)>-

Well actually, those photos were of a whoops, but not the one that stopped me from using it. after I had gotten pulled off that car, I just drove away. but no I had a really big coolant leak, and since it had 185k miles on it, and no one ever bothered to change the water pump, both me and my uncle saw it leaking from underneath the water pump and assumed it was the pump.after getting the pump off, and snapping 5 of the 7 bolts holding the pump in, we noticed that the pump was fine, but it still was using the factory clamps, and that was where the leak was coming from, but we also managed to crack the timing chain cover trying to get the pump off. My father came to the rescue with something like a 180 peice tap and dye set, but it was no good, we couldnt drill out the broken studs. figured that out after going through 3 drillbits. So I loathingly talked to several shops and told them the issue. The cheapest bill would have been around 1000 bucks, so I decided to get an 89 eddie bauer with only 82k miles for 700. I liked that one because I could finally use the after market warn manual lock hubs that you cant get for the 88. But it turned out all for the better because I have already swapped out the oil pan, oil pump, fuel tank, tranny skid plate, and the alternator from the 88 into the 89. Going to get some pictures of the 89 today hopefully so I can upload them aswell.
