Hey general question. Im a DIY guy with nothing but a floor jack. would it be easy to swap out the push button 4x4 in my 89 eb to the stick shift one from my 88?

Are they both the same manufacturer, IE Borg Warner ? If so, I'm pretty sure they will swap with very little pain. This is probably pretty obvious, but you will need the floor board cover from the 88. Justshootme84 or one of the other guys that have gotten into that area more seriously than I would probably have a better feel for the difficulty if any.

Im not sure if they are the same manufacturer. I think they are the factory ones. I was also wondering if there was anyone on this forum that has changed tailgates on bronco's before. I have a question about the wiring situation.

Ford used two different manufacturer T-cases, New Process Gear and Borg Warner. Swapping between them will probably require swapping the drive shafts also. Post a picture of both of them, it will help in identifying them.
