Here is a question for all of you ford experts. Was ford known for using the same key code for different year cars or trucks?
Here is what happened today: My 85 bronco is in a fenced in storage area. Thats where I'm restoring all the emissions. Some one else came to work on his 86 f150. I asked him if I could use his truck for reference, he said no problem. After he left, just for the h*ll of it I decided to try my keys on his truck. My door lock key did not work on his doors(he left it unlocked for me so I could open the hood). But to my suprise, my ignition key worked in his ignition. My key is not worn down, If it was then that might explain why it worked.
Thanks. Bill
