Hey guys,

Im new to Broncos. I am in the middle of a deal right now on an 84 bronco. Its obviously 4x4, and has a 351 windsor. It runs, needs tires, and the tranny wont shift from 2nd gear to 3rd gear in drive, so you just shift it manually on the shifter. I havent seen it yet, but supposedly has some rust around the fenders. He needs it out of his yard, and said $500 canadian takes it (Im from Saskatchewan). WHat do you guys think?

Well, since I just told someone that I thought most any Bronco is worth 800 US, I'd say grab it and make it a nice project vehicle. At worst, you can use it as a parts truck if you find something better.

Welcome to the Zone >

Well I finally got pictures from the owner. There is some hefty rust on the thing....do you guys think it can be worked around? Ill try and post the pictures, and it does have a four barrel carb. Its a 5.8 4 valve H.O. That kinda really makes me want it no matter what shape its in. Correct me if Im wrong but it should have the 9" rear end to.... 1984_BRONCO_001.jpg 1984_BRONCO_008.jpg1984_BRONCO_010.jpg1984_BRONCO_011.jpg1984_BRONCO_012.jpg1984_BRONCO_013.jpg1984_BRONCO_020.jpg

From those pictures, you have a 4180 4BBL in that. No problem with the rust as far as I'm concerned. Granted it is a bit of work, but doable. Had the same on mine, a couple of pictures attached, just take your timer and you can do it. I took a reciprocating saw and cut-off wheel to mine to clear the rusty metal then used metal from a F150 box to replace it. This past Summer I replaced the front fenders, hood and cowl panel, had then laying around in the garage and needed to clean it out B) . That made room for more stuff :D .

Some pictures to encourage you.

Good luck,

:)>-
