:(( SO i just bought a blk 93 xlt with 8" skyjacker lift and 3" body lift with 38x15.5 truxus radials. about a week after i boutgh it i was driving on the freeway and the engine started to sputter and the rpms were jumping around pretty bad, but i made it to were i was going when i tried to start it up again it would just turn over and not start. after about 3 min it started back up and drove normal. about a week later i was driving on the freeway again and its started to do the same thing only this time it died while i was going about 45mph. after coasting to the stoplight it started up after about 2 min of cranking and ran for about 45 seconds before it died again and now it wont start all it will do is turnover. what could it be other then the fuel pump?????

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Ignition.

Have you tried to pull the codes? Your computer should have stored some codes.

You need to determine if it is a fuel supply problem or ignition problem. Pull a spark plug wire and see what kind of spark you get.

two things are needed to make an engine run. fire and fuel. both are easy to check. pull a wire off a spark plug, insert a spare (so you dont have to pull it from the head) and ground it somewhere to see if it sparks. if not, there's your problem. if that's not the case, grab a fuel pressure sensor and test it at the schrader valve on your driverside fuel rail. if there's adequate pressure, the pump isnt your problem. check all your vaccuum lines, because if a big one is off, the motor will run like ****. just be systematic, thorough, and CALM

On my Mustang it was the ignition module (I think; it's been about 5yrs). It bolted to the distributor, and looked like a circuit of some kind, with a heat sink. It manifested itself by acting EXACTLY as you described. $40, and 20 minutes I was GTG (good to go!). The Ford 5.0's (AND PROBABLY THE 5.8'S) had a huge problem with those.
