might need to get the computer and wirering harness from the 92 to get the e40d to work ..that tranny runs off the computer dont believe the 90 is set up 4 that tranny ...if have this tranny you will have a button for overdrive... also drive shafts and tranny mount...it could be done...

OH man unless you are very good with wiring diagrams I would look for a C6 or an AOD to put back in your 90 , The 92 will be an E4OD and there is alot of wires there . I know from personal experience . None of them are optional either . One thing about the E4OD is that with no computer or malfunctioning computer if you manually shift into 1st or 2nd it will have full line pressure so that the truck will move to get you back somewhere but if you just put it in drive it will act like the tranny is slipping really bad because it is and if you keep playing with it like that the clutches will be toast . I have all the shop diagrams for 91/92/94 for the E4OD and Im not talking the haynes or chiltons Im talking the Ford service fold out diagrams so if you need to know where something goes I can let you know but man theres alot of wires . I bought a baughmanator for mine its a stand alone controller $400 you program it with a laptop but man theres alot of wires . ( LOL ) :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yes the motor will mate to that tranny its the small block bolt patter so any 302/351W will fit it the only thing is if you had a 302 the newer 302,s have a 50 oz weight on the flywheel the 351W doesnt have this weight so if your going from 302 to 351 you have to have the 351W flywheel if your going from 302 to 302 your all set . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
