Your goona have some fun now . LOL The 92 has different plugs than the 89 so you will need to do some splicing . Would be best if you could find a 5.8 harness out of an 89 then youd be all set I used a 91 harness in my 89 and still had to repin a couple things ended up cooking the oil pressure sending unit because it had a tach signal going through it from the piggybacked MSD didnt last too long . I got out all the prints and had to move 4 wires around to make it right . If worst comes to worst you could use your 302 harness and just dont use some of the connectors and I think you have to rearange a couple of the injectors . The 302 has a knock sensor where the 351 doesnt and my 302 had a pressure switch on the powersteering pump pressure line that tied into the computer to change ignition timing while under load . The 351 doesnt need that . There are 4 plugs in a row on drivers side fender apron thats where the repinning will take place . Theres a brown/white/black/grey round connector . See what you can come up with for a harness and get back to me . Remember even if its for a 351 if its not the same year as your cab it will probably be pinned out different . Fords electrical engineers should be strung up for that one . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have the wiring harness. I was just wondering if i would need it or could just use mine but I will use mine. I have the whole bronco to take off what I need. The 89 is in just so much better shape and I want the Bigger engine. I got it all for a really good price. I allready got the engine and and tranny out. Shuold I use my AOD tranny or the E4OD tranny? So I will take the every wire out of the 92 before i juck the rest. Will I need the fuse box also?

If you use the E4OD you have to use a computer that will control it . You cant use a computer that went to a 5.8 with an AOD it has to be a 5.8 with an E4OD . I do have one of those . I had to get one that had a 5.8 with a C6 . So your putting the 89 together correct ? What year is the motor harness your going to use ? Was the harness for a 5.8 or a 5.0 ? What tranny did the 89 have ? ( im figureing the AOD ) . If you use the E4OD you will have alot of extra wireing . Its alot better tranny though when there in good shape . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My 89 is in great shape only my 302 need rebuilt and i want more power so i want to rebuild the 351 and put it into my 89. I have the computer and all the wiring harness. What else should I take off it to make life easier? Thank you for your help.

You will have to have the flywheel from the 351 dont forget that its balanced different . It would really be best to find a harness from an 89 that had a 5.8 that would be easiest . I have all the ford garage wiring diagram books ( buddy works at ford ) Thats how I was able to repin mine just open the 89 book to that section of harness and then open the 91 book to same harness section and look for differences . I unfortunately have no way of posting the pages somehow seabronc post alot of wiring diagrams so maybe he can help you out here . I may be able to look at the 2 and tell you what pins have to be changed I have a book for the 89 and the 92 so I know I have the info and Im sure there different between those years . You mentioned earlier about changing the fuse box I would leave that alone its for the headlights and such . If you look at where the harness plugs in on the 92 it is a sqare plug where it goes into the firewall and an 89 is round so it wont be a simple plug in and go . I would just change the engine harness and go from there . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
