I read the codes. If anybody can read them here they are: II-I-II-IIII-III-I-II-I-II-IIII-III-I. I don't knw what they mean or if thats all of them.

212 - SPOUT circuit grounded since it is intermittent CEL, ck Spout connector to see if it seated correctly and then connector for damage - then if good, wire prob @ conn.. if unsure, use wire to push in-place of da conn. if good, ck wiring back... look for bad ground near batty.

next code, 431 doesnt look viable; re-do test.

will AZ do a free test for you?

I would have also said AutoZone,but I tried to bring my friends 92 S-10 to have them check the codes because the check engine light was on and when they asked what year it was they said it was too old and couldn't do it .

I think the eec relay is bad. I hate reading codes and currently the vehicle refuses to start. I can't hear the fuel pump priming so I checked the fuel pump relay and its fine. I checked the eec relay with my ohm meter and I got no readings.

ok, some employees at parts stores aren't exerienced; try another AZ store, call before you fly to find out if they have the Equs type readers for EEC IV etc., besides the OBD II type.

ok

try swapping another relay in there; they do go bad; a Bosch Relay is da best.... just buy some terminal ends to fit. but all this is harder and costs more $ than reading codes, ok?

When the ignition switch is ON, it turns the EEC power relay ON. The EEC power relay provides power to the powertrain control module (PCM) and the control side of the fuel pump relay.

and from BH:

"...Ford decided that the entire computer system should be powered from a single relay. They called it the EEC power relay. This relay has a black casing and is made into the harness. It has a large gage yellow wire that is directly connected to the battery side of the starter solenoid. It has multiple red wires that then power the computer and various subsystems.

The EEC relay is engaged by supplying 12 volts from the ignition switch in the "ON" position . The r/lg wire can be identified by checking for continuity at the ignition coil connector since it also powers the coil. [ This is NOT the wire with the big resistor in the line, the resistor is in the negative side of the coil] Be careful not to use the wire which supplied the original coil for either the EEC relay or the O2 sensors since it is a "RESISTANCE" wire. Under load, the wire has enough resistance to reduce voltage to the O2 sensors, ignition coil, and EEC relay to less than 9 volts. .."

ck;

blue fusible link in the harness; see if it is burnt; it is in betw. 1 of the R/LG wires, from ignition sw toW/LB wire, to the coil, relay and TFI...

then ign sw.
