I have alot of unused wiring due to removing my old carb, would it be ok to cut them out of there or would you just tape it all up. I want it to look clean. Im going to buy the plastic coverings that go over wires to make it look a little better, but what to do with all that extra wiring

also since I no longer have the stock carb that was electrically controlled do I need to keep the plug and wiring for checking codes

In cleaning up the under hood mess on mine, some of it my own doing while experimenting, I had to face the same question. And as previously stated by crazyhorse85, it's one of those decisions that get pretty personal. My decision was to cut the cord. I had left a lot of stuff dangling around, "just in case", (the pack-rat code) . In the end, since I had decided to add a under hood fuse box and eliminate fusible links, move my battery and several other clean up items, I came to the decision to remove the unused junk and make my own wire harness that eliminated unused lines and include upgrades.

All that comes to, as long as you are up to it, Go For It B) .

Good luck,

:)>-

A couple of evolution pictures below: Top row (when I first purchased it - ultimate mess), bottom row (what it looks like now).

A buddy of mine in his 89 bronco welded special little compartments and ran wires into them. It looks really clean as well
