hey guy's. Ok so i think i'm finally gonna lift her. I've decided on a pro comp stage two, with extended radius arms and add a leaf for the rear. I'm also wanting to put bigger tires, but I'm afraid if i go bigger than 33's i wont do very well when on the dunes. (i live in the el paso, TX thats pretty much all we got around here.) mybe some light crawling. I worry cuz my bronco only has a stock 302. Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated. I'd ask my friends but they all got big V8's

I didn't think they would do well but the 35x15.5x15 Swamper TSL SX tires I had on my old bronco did VERY well on dunes. The dunes I ran were in the FL Panhandle where they dug up the intra-coastal waterway. HUGE piles of white super-fine sand and the wide swampers WALKED through everything. (Aired down to 10 psi or so) My understanding and experience is the more surface contact area with the sand the better the tire will perform. Thus, the width of the tire is more important than the height for sand dunes.

Just my opinion of course, your mileage may vary.

My truck is a 96, and i have no idea which transmission is on her. To be honest I don't even know how to tell u what it is. A few more questions, if I wanted to go 35's woud a six inch lift be high enough? And if it is, what would i have to change my gears to? If they wouldn't fit, would I also have to change the gears if I put on the 33's?

six inch will fit 35's just fine, four inhc will fit them as well. there is a pinned topic for what tires match with what and i believe there is a gearing topic pinned as well.

I checked my truck it says I have an H9. I have no clue as to what a H9 could be. But since I finally got a chance to reply there it is. My trani is an H9. As u can tell i'm not very knowledgable about my truck but I appreciate all u'r help, cuz during tuff times like rite now the hands on aproach is much more economical.
