Bronco II Body Installation in a 90 by Muddtanks (Mark C) at http://www.muddtanks.com/BroncoRedux/Project_Outline.htm

Showing you more for some great tips, such as labelling EVERYTHING!, Remove the steering wheel to make it easier, Grinder or Torch the body into more manageable pieces

Now to remove ALL the body to frame mounting bolts. Remember how difficult this was when the truck was CLEAN in and out. Now there is caked and dried silted mud everywhere. So... first try the giant breaker bar - when that fails - try the grinder - and as a last resort fire up the cutting torch.

Unbolting - preserves all body lift parts and bushings

Grinder - probably preserves all body lift parts and bushings with minor scarring

Torch - bolts come off, body lift parts melt and compress, bushings melt and hardent - total loss.

etc.

SLOW TO LOAD

"...sandblasted and painted the frame. Added polyurethane bushings, after disconnecting everything from the body I had to build these jacks to support the body 3 feet from the ground as I roll the old frame out from under the body. These jacks my look simple but after 6 hours of work and after a good welding burn to the arm I finished them just the way I wanted..."
