More than likely the old bolts are rusted to the metal sleeve that is inside the bushings which makes it a PITA to get the old hardware out. When I changed my body mount bushings last year, I had to cut 6 of the 8 bolts using a carbide tip on my sawzall. Those bolts are #8 and very hard to cut. I made the cut between the body and the frame and then the two pieces that fuse together internally from rust will come off. If you just cut off the bottom, more than likely the bolt won't come out and you will still have to cut them in the middle.

I only took pictures of my radiator supports but this picture is an example of what I'm talking about. Be sure to use #8 bolts, nuts and washers with the new mounts and use antisieze on the threads and sides of the bolts to to help prevent rusting. Take a look at this page from LMC Truck http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fd/full.aspx?Page=22 . You will need 4 of part #28 and 31.

Good luck,

:)>-

I personally don't think there is much point in raising it above the frame which it is centered on. I would put in a filler to cover the gap similar to the one the sell for the rear fender well from LMC. I'm sure you can get a kit to adjust the bumper heights, but I'm not sure where. You might want to start a separate thread on that. I'm sure someone can give you the information. By the way you will need 8 sets of that hardware not 4.

Good luck,

:)>-
