I failed inspection because I need upper and lower ball joints. This first question may be stupid but I am new to the wonderful world

of the Bronco. Do I need a set of upper and lower ball joints for the front and rear of my 1994 Bronco XLT? Also, where should I purchase

replacement ball joints? What would be the best company to buy from?

Only the frontend uses balljoints. you can get them at most auto parts stores, usually the Moog brand. Replacing them yourself is a real chore, though. Check in the tech articles forum for the link to "Miesk5's homepage" to look up the procedure, JSM84

Man, if you have a Napa with a machine shop close by, have them do it. I had mine done last summer & they charged me $12/per joint ($48 total) if I brought the knuckles in. It was worth the price just so I didn't have to do it. But Moog or McQuay-Norris are the way to go as far as product. Moog is a little more expensive but they are both gonna run you close to $40 a joint.

I actually just got ball joints, and I think that they will be too small. (The thread). Does anyone have their old boxes for the model number on them??
