Hello fellows,

I don't have a Bronco any more, but I have a question that I know you all will be able to answer. I my friends neighbor has an 1988 F250 that my buddy says is clean. He says it has a stick and has a 460. My two questions is, this a 4 speed or a 5 speeed [overdrive] and will the 460 have fuel injection?

Thanks,

Brian

it will be a 4speed +overdrive or as some call it a 5speed. and it will be fuel injected. the 460 is a good strong runner and should be a good motor for you

Thanks Midnight.

Yea, I would call it a 5 speed. When my dad got his new 1968 F250 4X4 Ranger loaded, with a 360, the sales man said it had a 3 speed with a low first. My heart sunk. My dad had a 1967 Fairlane 289 3 speed. I'm like there is no way we can plow snow with this thing. Of course it had a NP 435, 4 speed light truck tranny.

My buddy said this was grampa's truck. So i'm thinking it has low miles. And it never had a plow on it. I'll go down next week and look at it and report back.

Thanks again,

Brian
