89Bronco II

Bought an 89 Bronco II auto trans with a new V6 that has about 3000 miles on it. Recently it has lost a substantial amount of power when accelerating from a stop. A patient tap on the gas and in about 5 seconds it seems to jump into second gear and takes off running fine. Also about 65% of the time it idles hard with a rocking noise. Vacuum? Trans?

i have an 88 that is the same way i think its just the auto trans cuz my 89 5speed hase no ploblems and it has over 300,000 miles.
