Hello and welcome...

First off you have to make sure that you match the gear ratios for the front and rear axles. If you look on your door tag it will give you an axle code. That code will tell you your gear ratio and tell you if it's a limited slip or open rear diff.

From my experience the gear ratios vary quite a bit depending on the country you're in and what part. Without knowing your axle code and using just the info you gave I'd have to say that you have 3.73 LS gears. But that's just a guess.

Here's the axle codes and their gear ratios.

42 open 3.45

44 open 3.73

47 open 4.10

D2 limited slip 3.45

D4 limited slip 3.73

D7 limited slip 4.10

Note any of the 4.10's are pretty rare to find.

Explorer rear end will work as well its an 8.8 96 and latter have disk brakes and it will have 31 spline axles just like the full size just narrowed you will have to relocate the spring pads and it will be around an inch wider on each side . Never had a problem after that with my B2 with 351 . The 7.5 rear was gone every time you touched the gas I also mated a fullsize bronco drive shaft to it because that little CV shaft will be the next thing you see flying out :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
