Old ignition worked but would sometimes hang up in start. Bought new lock cylinder/key, read this forum, replaced old w/new. Now I have Off....run....start. Bronc turns off when switch should be in Acc. location (button is behind hole), run in next right position, and then start. What am I doing wrong? Bad thing is I put the old cyl. back in and it does the same thing but didn't before. Is there a position that the reciever should be in? (Great forum by the way! Ya'll are gonna help me build my new toy!)

It's been a couple years since I changed mine. I do remember that the key has to be in the on position when changing cylinders out (you probably figured that one out already).

Jeff's Bronco Graveyard has the service manual page for this on their website. I messed with mine quite awhile before downloading that. It's pretty simple once you figure it out--but it took me awhile to get there. Made me feel stupid for awhile though.

Sorry, I know that's not much help, but maybe it'll be enough.
