What’s the pros and cons auto hubs vs manual. I have considered swapping hubs on my 93 Bronco but on my 02 F250 I hate having to get out and lock the manuals in. Are the Autos that bad. On most of the new trucks they are push button. Opinions please

Autos are great, but I actually had a lot of problems with them. On a couple different vehicles actually. Skipping, sticking. You are in warmer weather so you probably didn't have ice problems, but half the time they would be frozen or the grease inside too stiff to allow them to engage when cold out.

Manuals are great because you know for sure what is going on.

My 1993 has the auto locking hubs. My drivers side went out on me

My 1996 has the manual hubs ..... and have never let me down.

Same with the push button 4WD

The more electronic crap .... the more failures

Depends on how much value you place on Reliability.
Swapped out my autos for manuals.

I bought it for my son several years ago the motor had issues so it was put on the back burner. I replaced the engine started driving it some then I got hurt at work in first part of the year. Have got cleared to drive and work. My plan is to save miles on my F250 and drive the Bronco part time to work and weekends. It has the manual transfer case so that’s a plus. We went on a trail ride had fun nothing that required four wheeling. Thanks to all for the information. This will go on the top of the list of things to do.
