Get in, Sit Down, Shut Up, Hang On!
Well, I am happy to report improvement in my gas mileage.
After replacing wires, plugs, Idle Air Control, Map Sensor, 02 sensor, Fuel pressure regulator, shooting a whole bunch of B12 Chemtool in the throttle body, adding some Lucas fuel treatment, cleaning the coil terminal, replacing the battery cable ends and lubing the throttle springs on top of the intake...drum roll...
I averaged 11.6509 MPG combination of highway, offroad and stop and go city driving. It's idleing much smoother, it's not sticking at 1500 RPMs when I come to a stop, it's spinning like a top...knock on wood.
Now, if anybody has any other suggestions that might help push that MPG up a little, please let me know. I appreciate all the input you have all given. It's helped a lot.
Is 12 MPG good for a 20 year old 302 EFI with 161,000 miles on it? I have no idea what kind of mileage they got brand new.
Thanks ya'll,
