I have a 66 roadster 170cc 1 bbl carburator. It will choke off when accelerating especially while shifting from 1st to 2nd. Also the side mounted breather has a significant amount of gas in the bottom of the breather pan. Any suggestions.

That's usually the accelerator pump rubber cup. The airhorn is pretty easy to remove on that carb. for insp. & repairs.

"...side mounted breather has a significant amount of gas in the bottom of the breather pan."

That's nearly impossible..... RU sure it's gas..?

These rigs came with the "oil-bath" air filtration system. There's marks in the bottom of the pan to show the oil level.

You drain the oil, wipe out the mud-like dirt in the bottom, then put new oil (30w) in to the level mark & good to go..!! >:D< <'>
