I was looking at the NV3500 transmission for a swap in my 76'. I was wondering if the 300fbs rating would go up with a lighter rig? I have a np-435 going in it now and have yet to tear the one in my 78 f-150 up yet. Any one have an answer?

The 300ft/lb rating is for a rig nearly twice the weight of an EB... 3550 is probably the best best size and weight wise, if your'e not worried about the weight or length of your tranny/ tcase setup, look into the ZF and NV 4500 swaps.
