1990 Bronco II

Hi all, the 4X4 will not engage, /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> you push the button and you hear the gears engage but the front wheel hubs don't lock. Does anybody know where to start looking? Thanks, Mike.

jack it up and see if the front driveshaft is turnin if it is then its the lockers or the gears in the transfer case is stripped make sure it has a front drive shaft some people take them out thinkin it save gas
