1988 BII electric 4 x 4 shift

I have a 1988 B II 4 x 4 manual trans. with push button electric 4 x 4 shift. How do you shift into 4 x 4 drive? The little console on the ceiling is all broken up and I need a new one. I am in Reno, NV and no one here has one and northern CA doesn't have one and Ford doesn't make them any more. What should I do?

Get rid of it and pull the manual shifter and linkage from the bone yard. Get some manual hubs while you are there.
