i am lookin at doing a 1" body lift. i have a 3 1/2 suspension lift right now and would like to fit 35 bfg m/ts. also along with the tires i would also like to give my airfilter some extra room under the hood. as of now the chrome is getting rubbed by the hood. the bronco has a 302 3 speed auto. its a 74. as of now i think my only option is the wild horses 1" kit. now to the questions. what does it entail putting on this 1" body lift. normaly i dont like body lifts but right now i got my interior ripped out fixing water leaks and getting ready for new interior so i thought i would throw on the body lift since its convient. so what all do i have to look out for. is it going to be pretty straight foward, remove 8 bolts, jack body up, put in spacers. tighten it back down or will it be hard. i was told by the previous owner that he did a frame off 4 years ago and all the bolts are new. is anything going to get messed up with the body lift, such as the automatic shifter linkage to the transmission. or electrical wires. so basically i would like to know everything that im gonna need to do and fix to do this lift. step by step. is it worth it? thanks

It will be very straight forward. Easy task since all the bolts are new. Your Bronco won't even know you did anything, all linkages should be fine. One inch is so small You might even be able to run the fan shroud without any mods.

On an EB 1" can be a lot depending on what you are talking about. You better look at not only the shift linkages, but the steering column, the brake lines...all of them, gas pedal linkage. Wiring should be fine because you have play in it. Just remember this, a body lift lifts everything that is not physically attached to the frame. Your drive train won't move, but any parts that are linked to it, but mounted to the body, will go up. You can fit 35" tires on there without the body lift. You just have to do a little more trimming than you would if it were 33s on the front. If you don't need it, don't do it, simple as that. They aren't hard to put on and to make sure that everything is adjusted correct, it is just the fact that when some folks put a body lift on, they don't remember all the risidual affects from doing it.
